Gardena Dewatering valve makes your installation frost-proof. (2760-20)
The GARDENA Drain Valve prevents frost damage to the underground installation as part of the GARDENA Sprinklersystem. It allows an automatic drainage when the system is taken out of operation and opens when the water pressure in the system is below approx. 0.2 bar. Dewatering valves should be installed at the lowest point of the irrigation system and placed on a layer of washed coarse gravel for safe drainage. This gravel layer must be at least 20x20x20 cm to properly drain the water!
This drainage valve must be connected to a Gardena connecting piece which has an internal diameter of 1/2” or 3/4”.
The dewatering valve has a screw thread of 1/2″ there is also a reduction of 3/4 “supplied.
